(B01) {1935 ALA 29VS STANFORD 13 (ROSE BOWL HIGHLIGHTS)}- BLACK AND WHITE VIDEO This RARE ROSE BOWL game was filmed in black-and white- without sound and converted to videotape and please remember that quality standards of that era were quite different from today. After each down, the camera shows the scoreboard to advise you of the down, the time remaining and who has the ball. Character generators that give us information onscreen was not available in 1935.
Several glitches are obvious in the tape. This is a result of the original conversion of the film to videotape. It is not poor workmanship on their part. These slight problems should not hinder you from following the complete action of the game.
The original conversion of this game from film to videotape deleted such things as time outs and half-time activities. It goes from play-to-play with only an on-screen indication of outstanding plays and quarters.
Take pride in the fact that you are one of the few people to see this game. The game was played over a half -a- century ago.
It will be a valuable addition to your Alabama memorabilia. It is also significant that the Crimson Tide defeated Stanford and were declared National Champions. Five of the people associated with the team are in the National Hall of Fame.
Also included in the auction is a copy of the reprint from the San Francisco Call-Bullentin January 2,1935 and the 1934 Alabama Roster
Some of the Players in this Game were Dixie Howell, Tarzan White, Bob Ed Morrow, Paul Bear Bryant and many More.
